Change Your Attitude to Take Yourself to The Next Level of Achievement

If you’re hoping to get to the next level of achievement in your life, whatever that may be, you must be willing and able to make changes to your attitude, emotions and thought processes. This takes time and effort, but it is worth it.

Everyone has a bad day now and again, and some people seem to have bad months or years. While it can be difficult to handle these situations, changing your attitude can help you get through these difficult times. This might seem like common sense but if you let negativity get you down, you’ll end up stuck in a rut. You won’t be able to make the necessary changes and sacrifices to succeed in your life.

Long-Term-Commitment-Quote

It is a Long Term Commitment

If you’ve ever wondered how to change your attitude, you should understand that it is a long term commitment. You can change your attitude at any given time, but in order to improve your life, you must be able to consistently change your attitude at any given time. The ability to change your attitude has a lot to do with your emotional intelligence or your EQ. If you have a strong IQ, but no EQ, it may still be hard for you to control your attitude/emotions. Being able to control your emotions at the snap of a finger allows you to be the master of your day. This allows you to control your day and your habits, which often makes the difference between success and failure.

When times get tough, remind yourself of why you started in the first place. This will give you the power and the courage to keep going. Once you feel your full potential pushing you through your tough times your attitude starts to automatically shift from “not sure” to “I can and I will”. You will find that, over time and with more and more practice, you will be able to make small changes temotional-intelligence-book-covero your attitude on demand, which will strengthen your resolve.

I recommend you read the book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman if you want to learn more about your emotional mind versus your rational mind. This book will help you gain a much better understanding of how your emotions can directly impact nearly every area of your life from your career to your relationships and habits.

Honesty Is the Best Policy

honesty-quoteLife is too short to lie to yourself or to others. It is easy to feed yourself white lies or feed others the same and it happens all too often. Small lies about what you can or can’t accomplish cause major setbacks in your personal and professional life. Being as honest as possible will help you reach your full potential in the long run. When you are truly honest with yourself and others about what you are trying to achieve you leave no room for excuses. This level of honesty helps to keep you on track while trying to achieve your goals.

Be Grateful

Being grateful is another key stepping stone to achieving your next level of achievement. You need to recognize and see yourself as a person that can achieve anything, instead of feeling negativity and looking. If you don’t believe in yourself then you will never reach the next level of achievement you are aiming for. One of the first steps to improve your own life and to reach your full potential is to believe that it can happy to you.

If you don’t get that promotion at work or you experience another setback, it’s easy to get down on yourself. Take a hard look at why that setback happened to you. If it was completely out of your control, then don’t beat yourself up about it. Determine why exactly you didn’t get the promotion, such as being outworked, or not having the correct skills. You will be able to change those things if you are honest with yourself and reach that next level of achievement.

Get Motivated Through Motivational Mindfulness Meditation! Here’s how!

You have heard it before that maintaining PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) daily is one of the critical factors to living a more meaningful and significant life.  But how can we truly stay up in a down world!  Every morning before I get out of bed, I start my day by practicing motivational mindfulness meditation.

In the spirit of full disclosure, this is not something that I developed or invented.  I read an interesting article in United Airlines Hemisphere’s magazine on ABC National News Anchor, Dan Harris, who experienced a full-blown anxiety attack “live” on air.

He was filling in on “Good Morning America,” anchoring the news updates each hour. He had done this job many times before, so he had no reason to foresee what would happen next. He was suddenly overtaken by a massive anxiety attack. His heart started racing uncontrollably, he broke out in a strong sweat and he felt like he was dying and that the world was ending.

What he discovered as a result of the anxiety attack has improved his life, because he found “Mindfulness Meditation to improve his life.  He was so much calmer and more motivated that he wrote a national bestseller, “10% Happier”.

Motivational Mindfulness Meditation is a tool for calming the voice in your head. You know the voices I’m talking about. It’s that incessant mental chatter that is constantly ruminating on about the past or projecting into the future and robs us from the joy of living in the eternal now, the present!

Some very successful people’s morning rituals include meditation including Tony Robbins, Oprah, Richard Branson & more. Here are some suggested steps to start you on your way to Motivational Mindfulness Meditation and more peace of mind!

5 Simple Steps To Meditate

1. Find your meditation spot

This should be a private spot free from external disturbances. You should feel safe, at peace and comfortable in it. If you have a bedroom to yourself, it is probably the most appropriate inside your bedroom. After you pick the spot, clean the space around it. Remove any pieces of clutter lying around.

2. Sit in a comfortable position

There are different recommendations on sitting positions, like the lotus position, sitting on a cushion, or in that comfortable, safe and quiet place. I just meditate in a cross-legged position (on my bed) or sit on my chair. I look forward to it because it’s so comfortable and easy. You don’t have to specifically sit in a special way just to meditate. Find a position that’s most comfortable for you.

3. Clear your mind

Clear your mind. Loosen yourself up. Take a few deep, slow breaths.

4. Simply sit and observe

Then, just sit back and observe the inner dialogue playing in your mind. Let them float by. What are you thinking? What are you feeling? Just observe; don’t engage. Many people probably think that in meditation, they have to force themselves not to think and block out all their mental thoughts. It is really quite the opposite.

5. Ending Your Meditation

When you are done with your meditation, slowly ease into the physical state. Start off by being present of the physical reality around you. Next, be aware of your physical body. This can take 15~30 seconds, or however long you need to do this step. Then, very slowly, open your eyes. Get attuned to your surroundings. If you open your eyes immediately and try to resume your physical activities, it might be disjointing and jarring.

Instead of resuming your physical activities immediately, you might want to continue sitting in the meditative spot and reflect upon some of the thoughts, feelings or imagery that arose during your meditation. You may also want to just spend a few minutes expressing gratitude toward the things you enjoy in your life.

7 Ways to Easily Motivate Employees

By Boaz Rauchwerger

In my many years of speaking before CEO groups worldwide, I’ve noticed why some employers seem to motivate their employees to much greater levels of success than others do. As a people skills speaker and, from the experiences I’ve had with these leaders, I’ve come up with a few simple ways to easily motivate employees.

Some employers think that, if they throw enough money at a situation, it would certainly motivate people to perform better. I found that the main reason people leave companies voluntarily is not money. It’s the fact that people need to feel important. Dale Carnegie, in the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” said that people don’t want to feel important. They need to feel important.

We make them feel important by listening to them intently, by asking a lot of questions, letting them come up with ideas, and by recognizing them in front otime-to-listen-clockf others for their achievements. Keep in mind that people will fight for their own ideas.

The person who controls a conversation is not the one who’s talking. It’s the one who is asking the questions. God gave us two ears and one mouth. Maybe we should listen twice as much as we talk.

And when people talk to you, take notes. Carnegie said that the greatest honor we pay anyone is RAPT attention. Complete, total attention. And, with our modern technologies, how little of that is there these days. Most people are too busy texting.

When an employee is making a point that seems important to them, grab a notepad and take notes. Don’t take notes electronically. They can’t tell if you’re actually taking notes or checking your email. When you’re taking notes in writing, on a pad, there is no question that you’re paying attention. In doing so, you’re making them feel important.

If your employee’s suggestion is not the most productive for the sithow-to-win-friends-influence-people-book-coveruation, you can make them feel important by not downplaying the idea. Simply ask more questions until you get the answer you believe would be most productive.

Another way to motivate employees is to get copies of the book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” for all employees and simply ask them to keep the books on their desks. Tell them there is no need to read the books. What do people do when they’re told not to do something? They’ll do it. And your company will benefit greatly!

How a Motivational Attitude Breeds Success

Many people focus on their problems and are generally negative in their nature. They don’t mean to, but it seems to happen to people without them even knowing it. Positivity Attracts the Positive

While you may think it’s an optimist’s catch phrase, it does work. If you remain positive as much as you can, good things will happen. When bad things do happen to positive people, they write it off as something that is out of their control. This allows them to remain optimistic because they don’t lose that positivity due to something that is out of their control. You’ll find that being positive helps you cope with problems and makes it easier to shut out worries and challenges. Those who are happy and optimistic tend to succeed more than those who don’t.

Good Health

Many people believe that they could lose a few pounds or that they should change their diet and eat healthier. A motivational attitude breeds success when you are trying to better your health. Once your health starts to improve you start to find it even easier to stay positive. Those who are happier tend to be healthier. They don’t overeat because they are stressed and sleep well through the night. They have fewer headaches, anxiety attacks, and sleeping disorders.

Techniques To Help You With Positive Thinking So You Can STD (Seize The Day)

It doesn’t seem to matter who you are or what you do, you likely suit up and show up. Those long hours you put in at work, changing orders, modifying things, and taking emergency calls will help the company, but it can also help you build your professional life in a way that ensures you seize the day, every day. While the acronym STD may seem to have negative connotations, it can mean different things to different people.

The Goal

Your objective is to learn how to seize that particular moment and go above and beyond, whether you’re dealing with a customer and their expectations of you, figuring out how to be more profitable, or trying to determine what can be done to build momentum for a new product.

How To Do It

The first thing to do is have a plan to help you think positively. You need to be mentally prepared before you can physically tackle the task. Many people have a particular way of doing things because it makes them feel better and ultimately leads them to think positive at all times. If you enjoy taking a particular route to work, then do it every day. If you like to get to work early so you have plenty of time to get your coffee and talk to coworkers, make sure to leave enough time to do so. These small things will help to ensure that you are on the road to positive thinking before you even truly start the work day. Starting your day by recognizing the things in your life you are grateful for is another great way to start the day on a positive note.

CNN

You may be wondering how the cable television news network pertains to positive thinking. While CNN as the television channel doesn’t, the acronym, constantly negative news, does. The goal of almost every news station is to find the most gruesome and horrific stories and report about them. Why? Because they sell. People tune into the channel to hear what horrors others have done and will pick up newspapers for the same reason.

Research

Research has proven that the average person has 60,000 thoughts go through their head each day. Of those 60,000, about 45,000 are negative. That means that on any given day, your traditional thought processes leave you feeling negative, which also leads to CNN (constantly negative news). You’re giving it off and getting it back.

Other Tips

Whenever you think of something negative, counteract it with something positive. If possible, create a “thankful for” list and refer to it each time you think something negative.
